- Being with dying. Roshi Joan Halifax is a renown d leader in the field of compassionate end of life care. Her book is a great contribution to our understanding and care of dying people.
- Healing into life and death. Stephen Levine has been leading the dying conscious movement for three decades. These books are foundational as well as providing hope and deep love to what happens at the end of our lives.

- How we die. Sherwin Nuland MD. tells his experience in some of the most graphic terms. This is an excellent resource for the factual understanding and historical context for end of life.
